It's the weekend for turkey, and we're serving up a juicy tidbit: our review of the most famous turkey slasher movie, Thankskilling.  The movie's premise is simple. A group of high school kids goes home for Thanksgiving break where they are attacked by a 500 year old cursed, killer turkey. This movie goes from bad to worse to almost unbearable.  But hang in there, because if you give it a second chance and a little bit of liquor, it will all get better.  Just like your family political conversations.  

Thankskilling starts out with a group of kids on Thanksgiving break.  Well, technically it starts out with a topless pilgrim being murdered by a turkey.  But that opening scene is so useless to the film the only thing we can learn from it is the pilgrim was played by Wanda Lust.  

Thanks to everybody that made it to our screening of Drive Angry, featuring none other than Wasted Cinema's acting idol, Nic Cage.  In case you missed it, it was a great night where we raised a bunch of money for Occupy Sandy relief efforts -- in part by raffling off this signed, topless photo.

Drive Angry is the tale of Milton (Nic Cage) following the death of his daughter at the hands of cult leader Jonah King.  After Milton finds out about his daughter's death he is extremely, believe it or not, ANGRY, so he breaks out of Hell to get his revenge.  Could he maybe have just brought his daughter out of Hell with him and then save everybody some trouble and be happy?  After all, she was worshipping Satan so we can probably assume she wound up in Hell too.  In any case, the writer's wanted to show us a different story.
