Hooray! It's New York Comic Con Time! Come Celebrate With Us!
Batman (1966) Screening!
Hey lovers of comics and other entertainment nerds -- looking for some post convention plans in New York? We are so excited about Comic Con that we are dedicating our October film screening to you, the fans! We will be showing Adam West's 1966 Batman at our favorite Midtown bad movie night bar, Legends, on Friday, October 12th. Come see how this old school classic ranks against your favorite Batman or other super-hero movies.
At Wasted Cinema we bring you the best bad movies around and invite you to join us in celebrating and ridiculing the show. You're encouraged to interact and take part in our "toastworthy moments" - movie cues that tell you when to drink along with the absurdity on screen. For example, anytime you hear the Batman theme music you celebrate with a drink. We also offer movie themed-cocktails and drink specials specific to each film to make it that much more memorable (hopefully). Plus a live Twitter stream where you can share your commentary, along with a raffle to win a DVD of the movie and other prizes. Legends has been kind enough to sponsor this event, and are giving us a private room with 18 screens. The environment makes this a social event you won't get at any theater. A full dinner menu is available all night. So come early to get a seat, find old friends, make new ones, and sharpen up your wit before the movie starts. What does the movie feature, besides a stunning Catwoman? You will find perfectly placed Bat-tools, a foolishly prude and embarrassed Robin, brain-numbing riddles from the Riddler ("What is yellow and writes?" think about it....a ball-point banana!) and a troop of henchman consisting of what seem to be Captain Hook's pirates. For some reason. Come see how Batman really began. See you there! What: Batman screening When: Friday, October 12th.
